The questions we hear most — about pricing, process, timelines, and what it's actually like to work with us. Answered honestly.
We're a branding and design agency. We build logos, brand identities, visual systems, and brand strategies for businesses that want to look and feel unmistakably their own. We're not a marketing agency, not a web design shop, and not a print vendor — we focus specifically on the visual and strategic foundation of your brand.
Small businesses, founders, startups, and established brands ready for a refresh. We work across industries — food and beverage, wellness, retail, professional services, hospitality, tech, real estate, and creative businesses. The common thread is that our clients care about how their brand shows up.
Branding is who you are; marketing is how you tell people about it. If your logo feels generic, your visual presence is inconsistent across channels, or you can't clearly explain what makes you different, that's a branding problem. If you have a strong identity but need help getting it in front of more people, that's a marketing problem. We solve the first, not the second.
Submit the form on our contact page with a short description of your business and what you're trying to solve. We'll respond within one business day to set up a discovery call — a free 30-minute conversation to make sure we're a fit before any commitment.
Logo project pricing varies based on scope and complexity — the number of concepts explored, refinement rounds, and whether you need a full lockup system or a single mark. We determine final pricing during your consultation phase so we can tailor the engagement to exactly what your business needs.
Brand identity engagements are scoped individually because every business has different needs — some require minimal documentation, others need extensive guidelines and template libraries. We share custom pricing after our discovery call, once we understand the scale of what you're building.
A brand system includes everything in a brand identity, plus deeper strategy work, a complete visual asset library, templates for every channel you use, and rollout support. It's designed for businesses that want everything ready before launch instead of building piece by piece. Pricing reflects the broader scope and is determined during consultation.
Yes. We typically split projects into three payments: 50% to start, 25% at the midpoint review, and 25% on delivery. For larger engagements, we can structure monthly payments. We'll spell out the exact terms in your proposal.
A well-built brand is a long-term business asset. It influences pricing power, customer trust, employee pride, and how easily you can market everything you do. Cheap branding tends to need redoing within two years — at which point you've paid twice for less. The math favors doing it well once.
A focused logo project: about 4 weeks. A full brand identity: 8-10 weeks. A comprehensive brand system: 10-14 weeks. These timelines assume reasonable client responsiveness on feedback rounds — projects can move faster or slower depending on how quickly we hear back from you at each milestone.
Four phases. Discover: we ask deep questions about your business, audience, and goals. Define: strategy and positioning work that shapes the design direction. Design: logo, system, and visual identity built iteratively. Deliver: guidelines, files, and assets you own forever.
Every engagement includes structured revision rounds at each phase — typically two rounds per major deliverable. The exact number is detailed in your proposal so there are no surprises. We've found that structured rounds produce better work than unlimited revisions, which often lead to design-by-committee.
More than zero, less than full-time. Expect a kickoff call, two to three feedback sessions per phase, and prompt responses to questions. Most clients spend 4-6 hours of total active time across an 8-week project. The more you engage early, the better the work.
That's why we have revision rounds. First-round work is meant to explore directions, not nail the final design. We expect honest feedback — "this doesn't feel like us" is more useful than "I love it" if you don't mean it. The best brands emerge from real back-and-forth.
All logo files in every format you'll need: SVG (scalable for any size), PNG (with transparent backgrounds, multiple sizes), JPG (for documents), PDF (for print), and the original AI working files. Plus brand guidelines, color codes (hex, RGB, CMYK), font files or licensing info, and any templates included in your package.
Yes, fully. Once final payment is made, all intellectual property rights transfer to you. No licensing fees, no monthly subscriptions, no strings. The brand is yours forever, to use however you want.
A brand guidelines document specifies exactly how to use your logo, colors, typography, and visual elements. It's what you'll hand to anyone who designs anything for your business — printers, web developers, marketing partners, future employees — so your brand stays consistent. Without one, your brand drifts.
If you're near Birmingham, Michigan, yes — by appointment at our studio. For everyone else, we work remotely with video calls. Honestly, our remote process is often more efficient than in-person work, but we'll happily meet face-to-face when it makes sense.
Then we won't redesign it. We can build a complete brand system around your existing logo, or refresh just the parts that aren't working. We'll never push a rebrand you don't need — that's a fast way to ruin a client relationship.
By the time we reach "final," we've had multiple feedback rounds, so this is rare. But if you're genuinely unhappy at the end, we'll work with you to make it right within the scope of the original engagement. We'd rather you love it than just accept it.
We stay focused on brand identity, strategy, and visual systems. We don't do website development, social media management, or marketing campaigns. If you need those services, we have trusted partners we can refer you to.
Reach out anyway. Our packages are starting points, not rigid offerings. If your project is unusual in scope, complexity, or timeline, we'll build a custom proposal. We'd rather have an honest conversation about fit than turn away someone we could help.
Send us a message through our contact page. Include a few sentences about your business, what you're trying to solve, and any timeline pressure. We'll respond within one business day with next steps. No obligation, no pressure — we just want to learn about what you're building.
If we didn't answer something you needed to know, send us a message — we'd rather hear from you than have you guess.
